Music and books

#1 Post by Liexo » Wed Aug 16, 2017 1:54 pm

I usually like my peace and quiet when reading, but I do like some music from time to time. Especially if I want to keep every day life noises outside my little bubble. Then I'd put on some zen music or rain or even some jazz. Norah Jones is nice for that.

Basically, any ambiance music, be it Japanese or Native Amerindian. Smooth lounge music can do too. It just has to be ambiance, so that the music won't distract me from diving into whatever book I'm reading.

I know some people who like to listen to rock when reading. I couldn't do that. I'd be singing along the music and not enjoying the book to its fullest.

Silence. Reading and writing is silence. I can listen before I write to get in the mood but not while writing.
Board God aboard.

During the morning my background is a classical radio Station, afternoons are cartoons (nothing like a steamy scene when Phineas and Ferb are building something right next to me lol) ...
